  • Review practice PSAT questions

  • Take PSAT: these scores may qualify a student for the National Merit Scholarship

  • Take challenging courses and study to earn the best grades you can

    • junior grades are very important in the college admission process

  • Add to your high school resume

  • Save important and meaningful projects and papers

  • Maintain involvement with clubs, sports, and/or activities

    • you can still try something new!

  • Select courses for Senior year  

    • check with your guidance counselor to make sure you have met all graduation requirements - pick challenging courses!

  • Continue to research career options and consider possible college majors

  • Consider academic/volunteer opportunities for the summer

  • Visit college campuses during spring break, long weekends, and/or summer

  • Research financial options for college, add to your college fund

  • Attend Junior Parent Night at DeSales in April

  • Register to take the ACT or SAT

    • talk to your guidance counselor if you are unsure about which test to take

  • If you are an athlete and plan to play sports in college

    • register through the NCAA Eligibility Center online
