Robert A. Palermini, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 24, 2018. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 5, 1948, to Gino and Ethel (Scott) Palermini. Bob graduated from St. Francis DeSales Catholic High School in 1966 and later graduated from The Ohio State University in 1972, with a degree in engineering. Bob moved to Maryland to fulfill his life-long dream of working for NASA to work on their missile program, but returned to help run the family business, G & M Plumbing, his dad and uncle founded, when his dad became ill. Bob retired from the family business in 2015. He looked forward to retirement in Arizona with his wife, Patricia. Bob loved history and together they enjoyed sightseeing and exploring the West. Some of Bob's other favorite things to do were to watch his grandkids play sports, play cards with friends, golfing, bowling and attending sports games. He loved baseball, hockey, basketball and mostly football - Ohio State Football. Bob has been an OSU season ticket holder for 46-years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Cheryl (Shawn) Peer, Angela (David) Holland; stepson, Keith (Marsha) Vertrees; and an estranged, son. Bob has eight grandkids, Gregory, Morgan, Megan, Ryan, Ava, Aiden, Austin and Avery; brother, Ralph (Carla) Palermini; sisters, Karen Palermini and Cynthia (Stephen) Chandler; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved Boxer, Peyton. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Palermini. His family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2018, from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, where his funeral will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow, Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center.
