Department Mission Statement

The Art Department's mission centers around creative problem solving. We seek to develop a broader sense of self and promote visual thinking as an alternate mode of knowing. Our hope is that students will develop a critical appreciation of historical and contemporary art forms and be able to creatively express themselves with visual skill and clarity.
