Placement Testing
May 12, 13 or 14th 3:45pm or 5:00pm

Just a reminder to register for May placement testing!!  If your student has been recommended for classes in the following departments, they MUST participate in a placement test for that course:

Mathematics  *NOTE: A placement test is NOT needed for Algebra I, CP Algebra I or Honors Algebra I

a. Geometry (Honors or College Prep)

b. Algebra II/Trigonometry (Honors)

Science
a. Honors AP Track Physical Science

World Language  
a. Chinese II
b. French II   
c. Italian II 
d. Latin II 
e. Spanish II 

*NOTE: Heritage speakers are encouraged to participate in second level language tests

Special Note: Any 8th grade student currently taking a Mathematics or World Language course AT St. Francis DeSales High School  is exempt from placement testing in that subject. Final exams/grades in that course will serve as confirmation for course placement for 2025-26.

All qualifying participants MUST register in advance for placement testing.

Class of 2029 Out of the Gate: Zoom Parent Meetings

Our Out of the Gate program is designed to connect Class of 2029 Families. Each session will be led by the SFDHS Enrollment Team and cover unique topics to assist with your transition to high school. You won’t want to miss these informational sessions!

During our first Out of the Gate webinar on May 6th, we will discuss school uniforms, transportation opportunities, tuition contracts and much more!

Summer Prep Course
July 7 - 16; Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM

The Summer Prep Program is an eight-day experience hosted on the campus of St. Francis DeSales High School, designed to help rising freshmen smoothly transition into high school. Throughout the program, students will be introduced to valuable tools and resources that support academic success, including digital note-taking, study strategies, and academic enrichment. In addition to building strong leadership skills, the program also emphasizes teamwork and bonding within the Class of 2029.

FRESHMEN ORIENTATION
August 13, 2025 @ 12:30PM

One of our favorite days of the year!  SFDHS Student Ambassadors lead our newest Stallions through a number of activities to prepare them for opening week.  Participation is mandatory for all incoming freshmen.

CLASS OF 2029 FAMILY  PRAYER SERVICE & SOCIAL
August 13, 2025 @ 6:00PM

Following Freshmen Orientation, please plan to join your student for a time honored tradition!  A family prayer service will be held at St. Matthias Church starting at 6:00pm to welcome our Class of 2029 students, parents and family members.  Immediately following, join us in the St. Francis DeSales High School Senior Courtyard for a pizza party and family social.
