St. Francis DeSales High School will offer a supervised meal break in our cafeteria for campers attending more than one session in a day.  Meal times are from 12-1 and 4-5. Campers are to bring their own meal.


Dates, times and ages required for each camp are listed below. Camp information is also available for review on the online registration form.  

All four day camps are $75 per session and two day camps are $50 per session. There is a 15% discount for INDIVIDUALS that register for more than one camp.

3D ART CAMP

June 10 - 13
Grades 5-9
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Students will carve, mold, and learn traditional hand building clay techniques such as pinch, coil and slab to create sculptural projects. Other materials such as foam and plaster will be incorporated. Using their creativity, they will be prompted to think about nature, storytelling, imaginative creatures and their homes. Once built and dried, students will use painting techniques to create detail using underglazes on clay work. All work will be available for take home at the end of the week.

ALGEBRA I PREVIEW CAMP

Designed to review fundamental pre-algebra skills for the rising Algebra I student, this camp will review a diverse mix of Pre-algebra concepts including positive and negative integers, exponents, the real number system, expressions and equations.   A great way to improve your confidence, gear up for Algebra I and have fun!

BIBLE STUDEY CAMP

WHO AM I (in Christ)? Find your true identity, by finding out what God says about you. He made you, so he should know. Come do a BIBLE STUDY this summer that will help you feel more confident, explore Scripture and find your creative side.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Become a better listener, communicator and leader both on and off the field. This engaging and interactive camp will teach students important sports leadership skills and strategies necessary to be strong and effective team leaders. Led by Hall of Fame coaches Tom Neubert and Julie Barber, the Championship Leadership Camp is a great way to kick off a new school year and/or sports season.

 

DRONE RACING TRAINING

Interested in becoming a Flying Stallion? Join the St. Francis DeSales High School Drone Racing Team and participate in this week long training to prepare for interscholastic competition. 

EXPLORING PHOTOSHOP AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

Develop and improve your graphic design skills while working with professional design tools, such as Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Illustrator® in our newly remodeled Apple art lab. This four day program is designed for young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills.

PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES: AN INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING

Students will learn the basic principles of engineering design and use this process to solve a variety of ‘build challenges’, which must survive performance trials and unexpected obstacles along the way! Students will work collaboratively with one another as they study how different types of planes and cars operate, seeking out unique ways to build them all and optimize their designs.

TRAVEL THE WORLD

Where fun, world language and culture come together!  Learn about the language and culture of countries around the world as you complete crafts, listen to music, play games and enjoy tasty treats!  

 

WRITERS WORKSHOP

This four day workshop helps students sharpen skills and challenges them to explore a variety of writing styles. Working in small groups and individually with teachers, students are immersed in writing techniques and exercises designed to stimulate their imaginations and strengthen their skills in an environment that provides time to write, to discuss, to receive feedback, and to learn techniques specific to each individual writer.

BASEBALL

Baseball players will receive group and individual instruction on all skill aspects of the game from St. Francis DeSales coaching staff and current players.  No prior baseball training needed. 
Optional items to bring: bat, glove, helmet, water bottle.

CHEERLEADING

Come cheer with the Stallions!  All campers will learn motions, jumps, chants and a dance during this 4-day session led by the current DeSales Cheerleaders.  On the last day of camp, the girls will showcase their new skills in a team performance for family and friends.  We also invite the campers to cheer with the Varsity Football cheerleaders at a home game during the regular season!  *All campers are required to wear tennis shoes and encouraged to bring a water bottle.

 

CROSS COUNTRY & ENDURANCE

Our Cross Country & Endurance Camp focuses on building the complete runner. That focus includes training runs, work on dynamic drills, understanding the different types of workouts, and plenty more. You will spend time training with our Track & Field Distance and Cross Country runners.

FOOTBALL

Come spend a week with the coaching staff and players of St. Francis DeSales.  Campers will be instructed on basic fundamentals of offense, defense, and special teams by position.  "Heads up tackling" and other safety techniques will be emphasized.  They will also participate in games, competitions, as well as a Stallion Football league.  Attendees will receive a SFD Football highlight video, a t-shirt, and a Rib Dinner!  Come join the finest football camp experience in Central Ohio.

BOYS LACROSSE

With a focus on the youth game, the boys lacrosse camp will focus on the fundamentals to build their game. With new drills, games, and skills, the boys will learn how to have fun while building skill.

Monday thru Wednesday will be held at Northstar CC and Thursday will be held at Westerville Golf Center.

 

GIRLS LACROSSE

Organized drills for the beginner to the more advanced players.  Emphasis of camp will be teaching rules of the game while having fun playing lacrosse and building confidence.  Campers are required to bring a lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouth piece. 

BOYS SOCCER

Technical and individual skills instruction in a fun atmosphere.  Small sided games where technical skills meet game like conditions.  Having fun while learning.  Bring ball and water.

Campers will build their soccer skills and knowledge during the week with a different soccer focus each day.  Camp directors will bring lots of energy, fun and knowledge to camp each day to help your camper leave a better soccer player. *Shin guards are required.

The Stallion Softball Program is offering two camp sessions this summer.  The morning session will focus on individual skill development for players of all ages.  Players will be split into grade and skill appropriate groups.  Instruction will focus on infield and outfield positional play, as well as proper hitting and bunting technique. The afternoon session is an advanced session for middle school players preparing for competitive high school play.  Instruction will focus on defensive and offensive strategy.  Players in grades 6-9 that are interested in playing high school softball are encouraged to attend both sessions for a full day of training and fun!   

 

TRACK AND FIELD:  SPEED & AGILITY

Our Speed camp focuses on the core skills in many sports; acceleration and running fast. Our athletes go back to track, football, soccer, basketball, baseball teams, and more with greater confidence, capability, and speed. Speed Camp athletes will learn techniques, workouts, drills, and injury prevention routines that we use in our SFD Track & Field program

BOYS/GIRLS TENNIS

Campers will learn tennis techniques from beginners to advanced in a fun, positive atmosphere. Open to both boys and girls. Wear tennis shoes and bring a racket. Campers will participate in a variety of activities and competitions, and you may even be lucky enough to win a prize!

WRESTLING

Grades 1-8 Camp Teaches fundamentals of wrestling, including proper stretching, tumbling, stance, shots, and the top/bottom position. Two games per session! Fun will be had by all who attend! Please bring wrestling shoes (or socks) and a water bottle.
