Jason Graessle ‘89

Jason J. Graessle (“JG”), age 55, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on March 18, 2026, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus due to heart failure.

Jason was born on November 7, 1970, in Kentucky. He was the beloved son of Linda Fox and the late Richard “Rick” Graessle, and the loving brother of Angie Anderson.

He attended St. James the Less and St. Francis DeSales, where he built lifelong friendships and memories. Jason went on to work for Fox Co., where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Jason had a passion for life’s simple joys. He loved spending time on the golf course and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He also cherished time with his lifelong friends, including Jeff Sullivan and Danny Sprout. A proud sports enthusiast, he celebrated the excitement of being a world baseball champion. He was a huge baseball player who stole bases, was known to be one of the fastest runners and his antics on the field was unbelievable.

He is survived by his mother, Linda, wife, Megan, step-mother, Mary Ann Graessle, step-father, Mark Benavides along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rick Graessle, and his grandparents.

Jason also leaves behind his loyal companion, his dog Buddy, who brought him much comfort and joy.

Jason will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and the deep connections he shared with those around him. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
