Regina Belt Daniels ‘72
It is with a heavy heart that I write this to tell all that my darling Regina Belt Daniels gave her final curtain call on May 30th, 2026.
She is survived by her darling husband, Farling; her mother, Virginia Belt; sister, Ellen Follet (Jack); brother, Fletcher Belt (Leanne): nieces and nephews; her longtime friends, Mary and Ramon, Amy and Steve, Sue and Denny, Shannon, Barry, and hundreds of others.
Regina was a special education and reading recovery teacher for more than 30 years, beloved by her students and colleagues. She spent much of her career at North Elementary School in Crystal Lake.
Regina was a tireless supporter of the arts. She was an actress, director, and respected theater critic, and served on the Raue board.
Until recently, Regina was an avid traveler, visiting many countries, and making friends wherever she went. She fell in love with Scotland, where she met her husband Farling.
Regina distinguished herself in her career, the theater, and the community. Her encouragement, wisdom and friendship touched all who met her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest, even while undergoing chemotherapy and many medical complications. She was a fighter, and even in the darkest times, never gave up.
Regina was a leader, actively involved in life, a supporter of children, friends, and doing the right thing, She didn't know a stranger, and made all she met feel welcome in her life. She will be greatly missed by so many.
