  • Choir

    A co-ed vocal ensemble dedicated to the performance of quality vocal music, including traditional selections, vocal jazz, and popular music. Students will perform at several concerts and school events throughout the year. All students are welcome regardless of singing experience.

  • Concert Band

    All musicians are invited to participate in performances and orchestrations. Students with experience playing brass, woodwinds, percussion, violin, viola, cello and string bass are welcome to join.

  • Dance Team

    Dance Team performs for all home and away varsity football games and pep assemblies. Tryouts are held in May and are open to all students registered to attend SFDHS in the fall.

  • Drama club

    Open to all students to act, sing, dance, play musical instruments, build sets, work lighting, backstage crew, make-up, costumes, tickets, publicity, and/or usher. In addition to two major productions each year, Drama Club offers a Fall Theatre Social and other activities.

    All students are invited to collaborate for this collection of stories and poetry published in the spring.

  • Film Club

    Lights! Camera! Action! Film Club is open to all students who are interested in filmmaking, critique, and- of course- watching movies. Film Club meets monthly to watch a movie (snacks included!) and then discuss that movie at the following meeting. Students take a deeper look at the process of filmmaking and the different techniques used to make an impactful piece, while also discussing themes and symbolism.

    The flag corps performs at all Varsity football games as part of the marching band. All students are welcome, no past experience necessary! Tryouts for Flag Corps take place in the spring.

  • Guitar Club

    Guitar Club is a place for students to learn, practice, and play with other guitar enthusiasts! It is a great opportunity to trade knowledge, play music, make new friends, and have fun! Members at any skill level are welcome! Bring your own instrument!

  • horizons

    An ensemble made up of singers and instrumentalists that lead worship music at liturgical events, including all school Masses. Selections include traditional and contemporary music. Participants do not need to be Catholic. Pianists and guitarists are welcome!

  • jazz band

    Musicians who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, or bass are welcome to join this eclectic group to “jam” and occasionally perform for the school. Jazz Band meets after school during the second semester.

  • marching band

    Instrumentalists are welcome to participate in the SFDHS Marching Band, which performs at halftime of all home and away varsity football games, and provides pep music at various other functions. Marching Band meets during the school day and after school during the first semester.

  • Photography Club

    Photography Club is open to all students interested in photography. During meetings we do different activities related to photography, such as photo scavenger hunts, sun prints, Photograms, and Photoshop creations. Various outings are also planned for picture taking.

    Students with experience playing violin, viola, cello and string bass are welcome to join this ensemble. Practices are held before school to prepare for performances at the Christmas and spring concerts.

  • visual Arts Club

    A club for students interested in pursuing artistic activities outside of the classroom. This club will participate in hands-on workshops with SFDHS art instructors as well as with local artists. Art club members will also be involved in artistic community projects, provide assistance with school displays, and take trips to local art events.

  • writer's club

    Writer's club is for students who like to write fiction, poetry, non fiction, and more! We share writing, meet with published authors, and also encourage works to be submitted to Equus. There is also an option to compete on a team in a spring event (similar to Power of the Pen).
